1. What PlanMyBalance Does

PlanMyBalance is a personal finance forecasting tool that helps you plan bills, manage debts, forecast balances, and generate reports. It operates as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and supports offline use.

2. Information You Provide

When you use PlanMyBalance, you may enter the following types of personal finance data:

Account balances, transactions, debts, income, and expenses
Recurring transactions and scheduled items
Debt plans and payoff strategies
Calendar settings and notes
Profile details and report preferences
Usage preferences and app settings

This data is used to provide the app's core features. You are in control of what you enter.

3. No Bank Account Connection

PlanMyBalance does not connect to your bank accounts and does not ask for your bank login credentials. All financial data is entered manually by you.

4. Authentication

Authentication is handled through Internet Identity, a secure, privacy-preserving authentication system on the Internet Computer. No traditional username/password is stored.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

Subscriptions and payments are handled through Stripe or Google Play Billing, depending on the platform used. PlanMyBalance and its secure billing service process limited subscription information needed to verify paid access, such as the tier, provider, status, purchase or transaction reference, and renewal or expiry date. PlanMyBalance does not receive or store full card details.

6. Browser Storage

Some data is stored locally on your device to support offline mode and faster loading. Data may also be synced securely to your PlanMyBalance account so your forecasts and settings remain available across sessions.

This local data can be cleared by clearing your browser data. Clearing browser data does not delete your account or remotely stored data.

7. Usage Counters

We may record limited anonymous usage counters, such as the number of preview entries or PDF exports. These counters do not contain personal data and are used only to understand app usage at a high level.

8. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used only to:

Provide the app's forecasting and planning features
Sync your data across sessions and devices
Support your subscription and billing
Improve reliability and fix issues
Provide customer support when you contact us

9. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

App usage and session information

PlanMyBalance may collect limited app usage and session information to operate, secure, debug, and improve the app. This may include:

Account or principal ID
Setup status
Subscription tier
App source (for example: Web, PWA, Google Play, or Microsoft Store)
Device type
Language
First seen and last seen timestamps
Last app area opened
A short recent activity history (for example: opened calendar, opened debt, changed language, generated PDF, clicked upgrade)

This information does not include balances, debt amounts, savings amounts, notes, payment card details, or any other financial values. Recent activity is lightweight and limited. It is used only for support, debugging, app improvement, and security purposes. It is not used for advertising tracking.

Account and data deletion

Users can request deletion of their PlanMyBalance account and associated data. To make a request, please visit our data deletion page or contact us at info@planmybalance.co.uk. Some limited records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal, tax, payment, or regulatory reasons.
